Boutique Beach Tournament, Hawkes Bay

Hawkes Bay's own Beach Ultimate hat tournament is played annually at Waipatiki Beach, 20kms or 30 minutes north of Napier, on the east coast of the North Island. Hawkes Bay is a beautiful part of New Zealand, with an excellent climate. The city of Napier was mostly destroyed by a major earthquake in 1931, but the comprehensive reconstruction program implemented immediately after has made the city renowned world-wide as an excellent example of art-deco architecture.
The party earned exceptionally good reports last year; and this area is a premium wine-growing area!
